Are Bathroom TV Mirrors Safe?
We understand why many families have concerns about installing a waterproof television in their bathroom for the first time, but all of our bathroom televisions comply with the strictest of safety standards.
All of the models found on our website are manufactured by trusted British brands such as WaterVue, TechVision and TileVision. In addition, they all have an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of 65, which means they can be safely installed in bathrooms zones 1, 2 and 3 (that’s anywhere that’s not directly inside the bathtub or shower).
To find out more about the safety specifications of our televisions, you can visit our IP rating guide and scroll down to the bottom to view our IP rating charts and easy guide to identifying bathroom zones.
Of course, it’s not just your mirror TV that needs to be waterproof in any wet area! Your remote control is also important. It’s easy for soap, razors and other items to fall into the bath when wet, so with this in mind, all of our tvs include a splash-proof remote control, enabling you to sit back and feel completely relaxed as you watch your favourite shows and films!
Additionally, if you’re concerned about condensation or mist, rest assured our wide range of tvs for bathrooms are designed with wet conditions in mind. Not only are they to all heated to prevent misting, they're also waterproof!
Installing a Mirror TV in Bathrooms
The safety of you and your family is of the utmost importance to us, which is why all of our waterproof TVs are rated IP65. Each Bathroom TV includes a user guide and an installation manual, however it is recommended that you employ an electrical installer who is registered with one of the government-approved schemes to carry out any electrical installation. Our helpful customer care team can recommend and organise an engineer to install your new mirror TV.
If you're a bit of a DIYer and want to install your television yourself, please view our video below as a guide and follow the instructions in your user guide and installation manual. Of course, we are available to help answer any questions too!
